Add, subtract, multiply & divide tape-measure lengths
Work in feet, inches, and fractions down to 1/64. Add and subtract a list of measurements, scale one by a number of pieces, get an area, split a length into equal parts, or find how many pieces fit.
Result
Drag the marker (or use the arrow keys) and read the fraction — snapped to 1/16".
How is this calculated?
Every measurement is converted to inches (feet × 12, plus the inches and the fraction). Add & Subtract sums each row by its +/− button. Multiply scales one measurement by a number of pieces, or multiplies two measurements into an area (square feet). Divide splits a length into equal parts, or counts how many pieces of a given size fit — with any leftover.
Tape readings are rounded to the nearest 1/64— a real tape's finest marks. A ≈ sign means the exact value landed between marks and was rounded to the closest one.
